Acceptable Losses Roulette Strategy
By Jim Chow
Can you make money playing roulette? The answer is a definite maybe. Making money is defined as - walking out of the casino with more cash than when you arrived. Let's get this straight. Playing roulette is gambling, there is no for sure win system, the casino or house has the advantage and the longer you play, odds are you'll lose all your money to the house. Having said that, here's a way I found to make $20, 50, even 100 playing roulette. Let's start at the beginning. Having discipline, the right mindset, and staying true to your word to yourself and others is required. If you're the type that can rationalize an action with a justification, best you don't read further. OK? First go to the casino with a clear idea on how much you're prepared to lose and when you lost that, walk away. Don't think about making the money back. Just leave. Cash out if you still have chips. How much can you lose? If you're betting the kid's food money, the rent money or some other payment, you're doing this wrong. Don't do it. You can do this program with $75 of money you can afford to lose. It allows a lose streak of 4 plays with $5 minimum bets playing the outside. Here's my program. Play the outside, this is where the bets are on the border of the main playing field, you're not putting chips on the numbers [0, 00, 1-36]. At the casinos where I'm located, the minumum bet is $5, max is $1,000. The outside is betting on odds or evens, red or black, 1-18 or 19-36 and there are others but these are what I play. The payout is 1:1. Put 1 chip on either odd, even, red, black, 1-18 or 19-36. If you win take the winnings and put 1 chip down again. Should you lose, put 2 chips down for the next round. If you're playing with $75 you can lose 4 times straight. Essentially you're betting that you are not going to lose 4 times straight. When you win, you're up $5. Always bet 1 chip after a win. If you lose, double up your bet. Play like this till you reach your lose streak and leave. That's it. Your earnings come in $5 increments. There will be streaks of wins and losses. If you're up chip count wise and you're clear on your loss limit, walk out when you hit it - this is where you get positive cash flow. Don't chase the loses thinking you'll make it back. Tomorrow is another day. The longer you play, the better chance you'll lose everything, the house has the odds on its side. The trend is your friend. Watch it and observe, take emotions out of this. The trend is what's happening. Are you on a win or lose streak? Know your limit and when you've hit it, walk away. Maybe there is luck involved. If it's in your favor go with it. If not, walk away after the lost limit is reached. Do you have to bet the same after a loss? I did do that at first. I'd play red and kept with it and I'd be up $50. Then a trend reversal would happen and I'd be down $30. Everytime you bet, it's a new play. Previous wins and losses have no effect. You're betting that you won't lose your set streak. After a loss you can bet red, black, odd, even, 1-18, 19-36 - it doesn't matter. You're betting you won't have 4 straight loses in this example. Will a demo account playing roulette help? Not really, each bet is different, it has no historic significance as you're not testing anything. Well, you're testing whether you want to play this style, double down after loss till maximum lose streak is reached. Real world and virtual world are just chances with roulette. Don't get greedy and hope for a long win streak. Once you hit your loss set point, leave. Do you play a crowded table or where there're fewer people? More people takes longer. I've played at tables early in the morning where I was the only player. Once your loss streak comes up - leave. Does changing tables or a dealer change affect the trend? Maybe. Generally speaking, it's better to leave with more money going out than what you arrived with. As the dealers say - good luck. Better yet, use your head and make your own luck. |
